Hello to all of you who love our country,

The 2 million man march on Washington was absolutely amazing! There is no way to put into words the way we felt when we got off the jam-packed Metro and poured out onto Pennsylvania Ave where there were Americans shoulder to shoulder as far as the eye could see down both directions of the street with signs that announced to our government what we want to say so desperately. This uniting of every ethnicity and political name gave us an incredible courage and renewed strength to come home and spread the word to our local community. WE ARE NOT ALONE!!! This uprising is HUGE and is not going away, only multiplying, and will bring this administration to their knees.

California residents are often difficult to have discussions with regarding the corruption in our government. Still, we need to be as effective as we can by talking to one another and finding out what works to rightly expose the truth of Cap and Trade, Government overhaul of healthcare, the disarming of the American citizen, the loss of free speech and freedom of the press and on and on.

How the media, even Glenn Beck can say there were only 10's of thousands of people at our march is a slap in the face of the American people. WHAT THE HECK??? Do they think you are stupid? What does Fox News have to gain? If Glenn Beck comes out and says he was mistaken, OK, but really, we must question where this is coming from. Even the foreign papers reported that there were AT LEAST 2 MILLION MARCHING and Alex Jones read a paper from England that said Homeland Security reported 2 million! I was there. We stretched for miles, packed down not only Pennsylvania Ave, but for miles down side streets and the Mall was already full before our march because people went early so they could have a good seat and also many to greet us! It was phenomenal. A congressman who came down the steps of the Capitol and spoke said our crowd rivaled the inauguration of Obama. And get this- not one fight, not one piece of trash that I saw but a few cigarettes, no vulgar language a sign that I saw that had the letters WTF as a caption out of George Washington's mouth. We thanked police for working the event, and I asked how the day went; police reported, "Great!" We were even instructed by one speaker to turn around, say "hi" to the guards on the Capitol decks, and say, "We come in peace. You want to know why? BECAUSE THAT'S OUR DOME! WE'VE COME HOME TO VISIT AND PRETTY SOON WE WILL BE REARRANGING THE FURNITURE!" That was cool! :) The day went smooth and was completely peaceful.

You will be hearing from us soon. We are going to have a meeting regarding what's next in our neighborhood!

Thank you for all your support!

Jill and Allison

The President to take control of the internet?

And for his next move…(drum roll please)…the President will make our rights disappear! Last night I posted a video of an Obamamaniac telling a guy that he couldn’t have his anti-Obama poster at a rally because it had a “picture” on it as he explained that this “ain’t American no more”. This morning I wake up to find there is a current piece of legislation that will give the President power over the internet in order to, “direct the public-private response to a crisis, secure our economy and safeguard our financial networks, protect the American people, their privacy and civil liberties, and coordinate the government’s response.”

Direct the public-private response in a crisis? I will read this bill, currently in draft called, S.733 which is said to allow for the President to seize control of the private-sector networks. It is preposterous to think that the President would ever have control over the private sector internet but how they are calling this Constitutional is beyond me! I would not be comfortable having any government of ours, Republican or Democrat, having this much control over how we receive and send information but the Obama administration has proven to be the most stifling of our rights group of people I have experienced in my life time.

From Congress members to Police officers have been videoed spitting in the fact of Free Speech rights. Obama appointed an FCC Czar, Mark Lloyd that is proposing FCC guidelines that would require huge fines on the private sector and if they can’t pay the outrageous fines, they will lose their licenses. Anyone else see conservative talk flying away with that guy? He wants to charge the private sector 100% of operating cost which no one could afford that!

Fellow Americans and Patriots, if you are not awake yet, what is it going to take? This administration has made very bold moves towards “fundamentally changing this country” (President Obama 5 days before elections) and if we don’t rise up and say, “Enough is Enough,” we will lose this country.

It is time to show up to every tea party, call and write our representatives weekly to remind them who they work for, calling your representatives to find out when they are having town halls and be there, be peaceful but be loud and make your voice heard. Get involved in other conservative organizations that do nothing more than stand up for this country. Conservative organizations are important because they stand for smaller government which is what our Founding Fathers stood for. Lastly, listen to people like Glenn Beck. When the only defense against Beck is to call him names and say he is lying without providing real facts then it is easy to conclude he isn’t just blowing smoke. Turn off American Idol and turn on reputable news organizations like FoxNews. Seek the truth, know the truth and then speak the truth.

DEADLY DOCOTORS By Former Lieutenant Governor Of NY, BETSY MCCAUGHEY
Emanuel: Believes in withholding care from elderly for greater good.

THE health bills coming out of Congress would put the decisions about your care in the hands of presidential appointees. They'd decide what plans cover, how much leeway your doctor will have and what seniors get under Medicare.

Yet at least two of President Obama's top health advisers should never be trusted with that power.

Start with Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. He has already been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research.

Emanuel bluntly admits that the cuts will not be pain-free. "Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely 'lipstick' cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change," he wrote last year (Health Affairs Feb. 27, 2008).

Savings, he writes, will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, "as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others" (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008).

Yes, that's what patients want their doctors to do. But Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.

Many doctors are horrified by this notion; they'll tell you that a doctor's job is to achieve social justice one patient at a time.

Emanuel, however, believes that "communitarianism" should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia" (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. '96).

Translation: Don't give much care to a grandmother with Parkinson's or a child with cerebral palsy.

He explicitly defends discrimination against older patients: "Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different life stages rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years" (Lancet, Jan. 31).

MARCH ON SACRAMENTO AUGUST 28TH

And the impact has been profound. Nothing like this has ever been done before and Congress heard us loud and clear! The buzz is that lawmakers are terrified to go home over the August recess to a constituency that is active, vocal, and visible.

We may have them on defense regarding government run health care, but they will not go down without a fight. We must keep up the calls, emails, faxes, and visits to their offices. Make an appointment...talk to your representative or their staff. Or just drop by with a letter...it has a HUGE impact!!

And please save the date for a MASSIVE March on Sacramento August 28th (noon-5pm) to address the draconian environmental regulations that are systematically eliminating entire industries here in California (most notably at the moment is farming...due to water regulations we have 20-40% unemployment in the Central Valley!!!). More info to come shortly.

A Letter To Our Representatives Concerning Health Care From Murry Bulpitt:

I am deeply concerned about government healthcare reform. I have deeply held convictions against tax dollars being used to pay for abortion. I would like to be certain that President Obama’s plan would not deny medical care for the elderly. I am also worried that new healthcare proposals could move our country another step closer to implementing euthanasia and the rationing of health resources.

President Obama has repeatedly said that he wants to reduce the number of abortions in our nation. Recent polls show that the majority of Americans favor laws that prevent taxpayer funds from being used for abortions. Most Americans agree on is that there should be fewer abortions. My fear is that government mandates for abortion coverage will increase the number of taxpayer-funded abortions. By passing the President's healthcare reform plan without specifically excluding abortion, Congress will actually be encouraging more abortions. Research shows that when abortions are publicly funded, the number of abortions go up. However, when public funding is reduced or is not available, there are fewer abortions.

It is important to make certain that healthcare reform plans will not force Americans with deeply held convictions about protecting preborn human life to pay for abortions. Also, medical professionals who do not want to provide abortions need protection. Abortion is not healthcare.

In the medical journal The Lancet (January 2009), the President’s special health policy advisor Ezekiel Emanuel wrote that if healthcare has to be rationed, he prefers the "complete lives system," which "discriminates against older people." It is frightening to think that in the near future, young healthy adults could be given preferential care over senior adults because they have more years of their life ahead of them. In an article written more than ten years ago for the Hastings Center Report, Dr. Emanuel suggested that health services should not be guaranteed to "individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens." He said "an obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia." These are frightening thoughts from our President’s health policy advisor and good reasons to take plenty of time to carefully consider any healthcare reform.

Please oppose these liberal “reforms” of our healthcare. I am against the expansion of the federal government’s role and I do not want the government to interfere in medical decisions between me and my doctor.

It's Up To You and There's No Time to Wait! ACTION ACTION ACTION!!!

Our most recent protest at Sacramento was to tell Washington that we know that the nationalized health care will soon kill us- in more ways than one! From outrageous tax increases, to losing our options, to losing our lives as we have seen in so many instances in Canada and similar countries. Here is what you can do right now to take action and fight.

Click on the link below to get a list of phone numbers for the Labor and Education Committee, both the Ways and Means and Energy and Commerce committees in the House. You can ask the staff the questions on the site and record your answers on the form. TeaPartyPatriots.com is keeping track of the number of calls, e-mails, and faxes that are made to Congress. There you will also find a "Free Our Health Care Now" petition. Sign that too! THANK YOU PATRIOTS!

PUSH THEM BACK, PUSH THEM BACK AND FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!

We are inviting all those skeptical that socialized health care will help American's get back on the train to economical freedom, please join with us in an Educational protest outside the State Capital in Sacramento where our representatives can see and hear us. Those wishing to protest that either "Our Representatives Have the Facts Wrong" or "Government Has No Heart or Soul" or "Boxer and Feinstein should publicly debate the evidence Socialized Health Care with our MD's" can assemble at 8:45am at the west side of the capitol building between 10th and L&N streets. There are several parking garages surrounding the area. If you are interested in carpooling, we will be leaving from Starbucks in Brentwood at the Garin Ranch Center at 8610 Brentwood Blvd at 7am sharp.

You will see people in Old Navy American Flag t-shirts and that will be us.

Coordinators, Jill Price and Allison Quaintance will lead the event. At 8:45am we will inform people of a bit of house keeping & our general plan of what we can chant and how we will engage politely with people. At 9:00am most of our representatives should be in office, and we will have some speeches, and most likely some media things happening.

Bring a placard with a fun Feinstein/Boxer or Health Care comment on it.

ALERT! Jerry Mc Nerney at Aladino's Pizza July 11

Congressman, Jerry Mc Nerney is scheduled to be at Aladino's Pizza, in Discovery Bay, that's 1555 Riverlake Rd from 4:30-5:30pm on Saturday night, July 11th, to answer questions and listen to concerns from us. This effort is called, "Congress at Your Corner". Please read up on his voting record and come prepared to ask intelligent questions. Here is a note he had on his website and a response I sent to him.

Dear Friends,
I just helped write the groundbreaking energy bill that will transform the antiquated policies of the last twenty years into the forward thinking solutions we need to meet our climate and supply challenges.

I'm ready to tackle our next challenge: healthcare reform.

We must fix healthcare in America. The outrageous costs and limited services offered by today's system are hurting our economy and our people. We need a system that provides quality healthcare choices at affordable costs for all Americans. We also need to lower costs to ensure American small businesses stay competitive and keep jobs here.

I need to hear from you. There are many special interests in Washington trying to promote their agenda, but I want to hear directly from you on these important reforms.
I need you to forward this email to all your friends and family. The Energy and Commerce Committee - of which I am a member - will be working on a bill to reform healthcare in the coming weeks. I want input from you on what should be included in this important piece of legislation.

Now is the time to exercise your voice and make your government work for you. Please tell me what you need.

I'm listening.

Your Friend,

Mr. McNerney,

PLEASE DON'T! WE ARE BEGGING YOU! There is no one that is turned away in hospitals in America. Do you realize what socializing healthcare will do? YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for reducing our medical science practice to mere protocol. YOU will tie the hands of the doctors to make decisions based on case to case basis- at that point, who needs doctors?
There is the argument that there needs to be competition to lower level the playing field, well there are over 1,300 companies that sell health care insurance- that is competition right there. And when the Medicare Drug Benefit came up, there was an estimated cost of $74 billion, but 100 providers stepped up and actually it only ended up costing $44 billion that was a 41% savings. We see here there is plenty of competition.
Then there is the public option that will undercut the private insurers and will in turn, pass the tab to taxpayers. For example, Medicare pays hospitals 71% and doctors 81% of what private insurers pay. With government run healthcare, the cost is shifted and taxpayers make up the difference.
The Lewin Group estimated that at least 120 million Americans (70%) initially will quickly lose their outstanding healthcare from private companies because companies will switch over because it is more cost effective and this will "crater" private insurance. It won't be long until private insurance no longer exists and we are Canada all over again.
The government run agencies- never make one happy to stand in line. The government is the ONE who has no competition, therefore the "kindness" on the other side of the counter or phone always seems to be lacking. This is not where we want our health decisions falling. You made an oath to represent us. You promise to be our voice. Will you represent this voice?

Most sincerely,

Jill Price

Focusing on the Fundamental Issues

-From ReTeaparty.com
In order to successfully take back or government, we first have to turn our own views of politics upside down. Most of us get involved in the Tea Party movement, and politics in general, because we are animated by the issues of the day. To make this Tea Party movement work, and to broaden its appeal so it includes all Americans who demand change regardless of ideology, we must set aside the hot topics and concentrate on the fundamental issues which don’t grab the headlines.

In a previous article (1), I have put forth the view that distinctions between left and right have become meaningless. The true division in our society is between the Robbers and the Robbed. The Robbers love to use the hot topics to keep us divided. We must resist that urge to help them divide us and conquer us by agreeing to disagree, if necessary, on the issues which mean the most to us.

One such hot topic is immigration. Many conservatives are deeply concerned about border security and the loss of jobs to people who are here illegally, while the libertarians and progressives among us generally prefer a more open border policy and desire to make it easier for new immigrants to settle here and become citizens.

Another of these issues is health care. Those of us on the left agitate for “single-payer” plans and more government attention to the issue, while most of us on the right say increasing government’s role in health care will only lead to disaster.

In Grand Rapids (2), recently we witnessed competing demonstrations between groups supporting or opposed to a single-payer health care plan. The Robbers love this kind of news. While good people on both sides are putting their energies into arguing with each other over one issue, the Robbers can continue to oppress us on all issues without us putting up a fight.

If we spend our time arguing with each other over immigration, health care, or similar issues which dominate the news, we will never get anywhere. Even when it is a top issue for us, we need to be willing to set it aside in favor of those fundamental issues which will allow us to return to these debates in a sensible manner.

The first understanding which brings us together is simply the recognition that our system of government is broken. Regardless of our position on the political spectrum, we all can see just how far we have strayed from the Constitutional principles which made our Republic strong. In order to address any single issue, we first have to fix our system of government and, as Jefferson stated so well, bind it again to the chains of the Constitution.

This is why Free and Equal is recruiting speakers from the widest possible variety of viewpoints. We all have of grievances that need to be redressed, but considering where we all reside on the political spectrum, we express them differently, use different examples or points of emphasis, and often propose different solutions. Our goal is to get past any disagreement on labels or specific issues and start the conversation that will unite us, so we can fix this broken system together.

Much work has gone into expressing the ReTeaParty statement of principles (3). We have vetted them several times with many people all across the political spectrum in order to present them with the broadest possible appeal.

We can all agree that bailouts, rising national debt, and corporate welfare are destroying our economy. Everyone wants our government to be transparent and accessible to the people. We all want our freedom, and we understand that defending it starts with establishing our right to privacy from the prying eyes and ears of Big Brother.

Ultimately, all across the political spectrum you will find the growing understanding that the Constitution expresses the kind of government that will work for us much better than the corporatism we endure today.

We’re serious in our call to Re-Declare our Independence (4) that we welcome “any and all groups and individuals dissatisfied with the current governance of the United States, regardless of ideology, partisan identity, or political affiliation.”

Taking partisan stands on issues such as immigration or health care, or anything else that sets us up to remain warring factions, only serves the Robbers. What will work for us is to take non-partisan stands on fundamental principles which unite all Americans.

If we continue to play their partisan game, while we squabble with each other we face the very real possibility that the entire system will collapse. All the partisan issues become quite meaningless when people are struggling simply to feed their families and survive.

Before we can have any hope of reasonably working to our differences on single issues, we have to fight just to have a stable government that allows us to peacefully resolve these differences. We have to restore a sustainable and moral economy that supports our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

That is why the Tea Party movement is most successful when we stick to the fundamental issues of reform. Once we again become secure in a system which supports our lives, our liberties, and our pursuit of happiness however we define it, only then will it become possible for us to revisit the hot topics with the ability to actually resolve them in a way which is positive for all Americans.

Principles of Tyranny

Principles of Tyranny
by Jon Roland
Definition of tyranny
Tyranny is usually thought of as cruel and oppressive, and it often is, but the original definition of the term was rule by persons who lack legitimacy, whether they be malign or benevolent. Historically, benign tyrannies have tended to be insecure, and to try to maintain their power by becoming increasingly oppressive. Therefore, rule that initially seems benign is inherently dangerous, and the only security is to maintain legitimacy — an unbroken accountability to the people through the framework of a written constitution that provides for election of key officials and the division of powers among branches and officials in a way that avoids concentration of powers in the hands of a few persons who might then abuse those powers.

Tyranny is an important phenomenon that operates by principles by which it can be recognized in its early emerging stages, and, if the people are vigilant, prepared, and committed to liberty, countered before it becomes entrenched.

The psychology of tyranny
Perhaps one of the things that most distinguishes those with a fascist mentality from most other persons is how they react in situations that engender feelings of insecurity and inadequacy. Both kinds of people will tend to seek to increase their power, that is, their control over the outcome of events, but those with a fascist mindset tend to overestimate the amount of influence over outcomes that it is possible to attain. This leads to behavior that often brings them to positions of leadership or authority, especially if most other persons in their society tend to underestimate the influence over outcomes they can attain, and are inclined to yield to those who project confidence in what they can do and promise more than anyone can deliver.

This process is aided by a common susceptibility which might be called the rooster syndrome, from the old saying, “They give credit to the rooster crowing for the rising of the sun.” It arises from the tendency of people guided more by hope or fear than intelligence to overestimate the power of their leaders and attribute to them outcomes, either good or bad, to which the leaders contributed little if anything, and perhaps even acted to prevent or reduce. This comes from the inability of most persons to understand complex dynamic systems and their long-term behavior, which leads people to attribute effects to proximate preceding events instead of actual long-term causes.

The emergence of tyranny therefore begins with challenges to a group, develops into general feelings of insecurity and inadequacy, and falls into a pattern in which some individuals assume the role of “father” to the others, who willingly submit to becoming dependent “children” of such persons if only they are reassured that a more favorable outcome will be realized. This pattern of co-dependency is pathological, and generally results in decisionmaking of poor quality that makes the situation even worse, but, because the pattern is pathological, instead of abandoning it, the co-dependents repeat their inappropriate behavior to produce a vicious spiral that, if not interrupted, can lead to total breakdown of the group and the worst of the available outcomes.

In psychiatry, this syndrome is often discussed as an “authoritarian personality disorder”. In common parlance, as being a “control freak”.

The logic of tyranny
In Orwell’s classic fable, Nineteen Eighty-Four, the protagonist Winston Smith makes a key statement:

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows.

Following the trial of the surviving Branch Davidians in San Antonio, Texas, in March, 1994, in which a misinstructed jury acquitted all the defendants of the main crimes with which they were charged, but convicted them of the enhancements of using firearms in the commission of a crime, the federal judge, Walter F. Smith, first dismissed the charges, correctly, on the grounds that it is logically impossible to be guilty of an enhancement if one is innocent of the crime. However, under apparent political pressure, he subsequently reversed his own ruling and sentenced the defendants to maximum terms as though they had been convicted of the main crimes, offering the comment, “The law doesn’t have to be logical.” Under fascism? No. Under Constitutional Americanism? YES - ALL OF THE TIME!

No. The law does have to be logical. Otherwise it is not law. It is arbitrary rule by force.

Now by “logical” what is meant is two-valued logic, which is sometimes also called Boolean, Aristotelian or Euclidean logic. In other words, a system of propositions within which a statement and its negation cannot both be true or valid. One of the two must be false or invalid. The two possible values are true and false, and every meaningful proposition can be assigned one or the other value.

A system of law is a body of prescriptive, as opposed to descriptive, propositions, that support the making of decisions, and therefore its logic must be two-valued. It is a fundamental principle of law that like cases must be decided alike, and this means according to propositions that exclude their contradictions.

It is also a fundamental principle of logic that any system of propositions that accepts both a statement and its negation as valid, that is, which accepts a contradiction, accepts all contradictions, and provides no basis for deciding among them. If decisions are made, they are not made on the basis of the propositions, but are arbitrary, and that is the definition of the rule of men, as opposed to the rule of law.

So what Winston Smith is saying is that freedom means being able to distinguish between a true proposition and a false one, and what his nemesis O’Brien therefore does to crush him is make him accept that “2 + 2 = 5″, which cannot be true if the logic is Aristotelian. O’Brien represents the logic of arbitrary power, a “logic” we might call Orwellian, although Orwell, whose real name was Eric Blair, was strongly opposed to it.

The methodology of tyranny
The methods used to overthrow a constitutional order and establish a tyranny are well-known. However, despite this awareness, it is surprising how those who have no intention of perpetrating a tyranny can slip into these methods and bring about a tyranny despite their best intentions. Tyranny does not have to be deliberate. Tyrants can fool themselves as thoroughly as they fool everyone else.

Control of public information and opinion
It begins with withholding information, and leads to putting out false or misleading information. A government can develop ministries of propaganda under many guises. They typically call it “public information” or “marketing”.

Vote fraud used to prevent the election of reformers
It doesn’t matter which of the two major party candidates are elected if no real reformer can get nominated, and when news services start knowing the outcomes of elections before it is possible for them to know, then the votes are not being honestly counted.

Undue official influence on trials and juries
Nonrandom selection of jury panels, exclusion of those opposed to the law, exclusion of the jury from hearing argument on the law, exclusion of private prosecutors from access to the grand jury, and prevention of parties and their counsels from making effective arguments or challenging the government.

Usurpation of undelegated powers
This is usually done with popular support for solving some problem, or to redistribute wealth to the advantage of the supporters of the dominant faction, but it soon leads to the deprivation of rights of minorities and individuals.

Seeking a government monopoly on the capability and use of armed force
The first signs are efforts to register or restrict the possession and use of firearms, initially under the guise of “protecting” the public, which, when it actually results in increased crime, provides a basis for further disarmament efforts affecting more people and more weapons.

Militarization of law enforcement
Declaring a war on vague, ambiguous inanimate non-entity things such as a “war on crime” a "war on drugs" or a "war on 'terrorism'" etc that is, in fact, a pretext to make war on civil liberties. Preparation of military forces for internal policing duties and the militarization and centralized control of civilian law enforcement agencies at all levels.

Infiltration and subversion of citizen groups that could be forces for reform
Internal spying and surveillance is the beginning. A sign is false prosecutions of leaders of peaceful, civil groups based on unconstitutional lawless basis and tactics.

Suppression of investigators and whistleblowers
When people who try to uncover high level wrongdoing are threatened, that is a sign the system is not only riddled with corruption, but that the corruption has passed the threshold into active tyranny.

Use of the law for competition suppression
It begins with the dominant faction winning support by paying off their supporters and suppressing their supporters’ competitors, but leads to public officials themselves engaging in illegal activities and using the law to suppress independent competitors. A good example of this is narcotics trafficking. The CIA is the number one drug trafficker in the international narcotics trade.

Subversion of internal checks and balances
This involves the appointment to key positions of persons who can be controlled by their sponsors, and who are then induced to do illegal things. The worst way in which this occurs is in the appointment of judges that will go along with unconstitutional acts by the other branches.

Creation of a class of officials who are above the law
This is indicated by dismissal of charges for wrongdoing against persons who are “following orders”. The state mass murder at Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc.

Increasing dependency of the people on government
The classic approach to domination of the people is to first take everything they have away from them, then make them compliant with the demands of the rulers to get anything back again.

Increasing public ignorance of their civic duties and reluctance to perform them
When the people avoid doing things like voting and serving in militias and juries, tyranny is not far behind.

Use of staged events to produce popular support
Acts of terrorism, blamed on political opponents or opon manufactured “enemies,” followed immediately with well-prepared proposals for increased powers and budgets for suppressive agencies. Sometimes called a Reichstag plot.

Conversion of rights into privileges
Requiring licenses and permits for doing things that the government does not have the delegated power to restrict, except by due process in which the burden of proof is on the petitioner.

Political correctness
Many if not most people are susceptible to being recruited to engage in repressive actions against disfavored views or behaviors, and led to pave the way for the dominance of tyrannical government.
Avoiding tyranny
The key is always to detect tendencies toward tyranny and suppress them before they go too far or become too firmly established. The people must never acquiesce in any violation of the Constitution. Failure to take corrective action early will only mean that more severe measures will have to be taken later, perhaps with the loss of life and the disruption of the society in ways from which recovery may take centuries.

July 4th Event

First and foremost, a hearty "Thank You" to everyone who came out to the event. Several estimates placed the crowd at about 300. The single most powerful aspect of this event was all the participants, the crowd itself, each and every one of you who attended. Seeing the number of people from our small community that were willing to come out on their holiday with a focus on celebrating the birth of our nation more so than just celebrating a day off was inspiring. The overall crowd itself was obviously inspiring to each individual making up the crowd. I heard a lot of comments along the lines of "wow, there are a lot of people here that feel the same way I do about what's going on." What a great feeling to realize one does not stand alone despite what they are made to believe by the media.

The event itself went well. The speakers each said their piece to a very supportive audience and then many made their march out to let the world know that, "yes there is a strong commonality in our disgruntlement with the unruly irresponsible spending at the hands of our elected officials."

Again, I'd like to express gratitude to all those attended, not only for coming out to the event, but for making it possible to convey a message with dignity and credibility one would expect of the hard working backbone of this country that we are as the working class. We came together as a like minded group, expressed ourselves in a clear and responsible way, then demonstrated not only that there is a common and growing discontent but also that we are sane-minded rational people.

Thank you to everyone who made donations to support the cause. Your generosity was and is much appreciated.

Thank you everyone and check back shortly for images and movies from the event. We are looking over the "We the People" scroll and will get it sent off soon. Hoping yours was a safe and enjoyable holiday.
